Lifecycle Methodology
The Network Lifecycle
Methodology (NLM) is the foundation of our commitment to
provide quality solutions to our clients. It provides the
consultants with a framework for applying their technology
expertise during the various stages of the network lifecycle
so as to maximize client benefits.
Envision’s Network Lifecycle
Methodology (NLM) provides a framework for solving complex
networking problems. In conjunction with the Envision
Engagement Methodology (EEM), NLM enhances the productivity
and effectiveness of our consultants, whether they are
working on a routine
router configuration or wrestling with
a complex integration problem. However, NLM's ultimate goal
is to deliver reliable solutions to clients, on time and
within budget, in every engagement.
The NLM Lifecycle
NLM can be
applied at any stage in a project, based on client needs. It
consists of four phases that, as a group, support the
client's ongoing network operations: Planning, Design,
Implementation and Operation.
Each
lifecycle function is comprised of a process description,
procedure, and supporting collateral, including tool
references, templates, sample deliverables, and best
practice references. Used together with the Envision
Engagement Methodology, NLM achieves a balance between
standardization and flexibility; it is consistent, yet
responsive to varied service delivery needs.

is an overarching methodology that contains NLM. Other EEM

processes, tools, templates, and methodologies that have worked

significantly reduces project costs. The tool is continually
updated with materials created by our engineers tackling new
